Country number 83, still 17 to go :-)

Casa de Campo Resort & Villas
opened in La Romana, almost 50 years ago, as the first resort in the Dominican Republic. It is a favorite destination for golfers.
The 3 Pete Dye golf courses include Teeth of the Dog , the #1 ranked course in the Caribbean. Resort also has 8 restaurants including the stunning Minitas Beach Club (my favorite), a Marina, Equestrian Center featuring Polo, Shooting Course, great shopping, and 3 private pristine white sand beaches.
Well – to be honest, the resort is overall very nice but I didn’t like its rooms and it has the worst wifi ever. So if there wouldn’t be these beautiful golf courses, I wouldn’t want to stay there. Don’t forget, it is 50 years old :-)

TEETH OF THE DOG GOLF COURSE

One of the three championship golf courses, each more original than the others.
The #1 ranked course in the Caribbean and #27 IN THE WORLD. And I couldn’t agree more!!! Love that golf course!
Teeth of the Dog, Links and Dye Fore: with these three courses, you will take immeasurable pleasure in practicing your favorite sport. All designed by Peter Dye in 1969. He was one of the greatest, most influential of golf-course architects. With seven dramatic holes hugging the craggy coral formations rising out of the azure Caribbean Sea, Teeth of the Dog is thrilling. Pete Dye gives a “co-designer” tribute to a higher power as he famously quipped, “I created 11 holes and God created seven.”

THE CARIBBEAN’S BEST-KEPT SECRET

27 hole Dye Fore joined Teeth of the Dog in 2002. Its 3 nines – Marina, Chavon, Lagos – are distinct. Chavon features 5 cliff side holes dropping 300 feet, Marina plays down the Chavon rivers and offers panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea and the Marina at Casa de Campo.

My favorite is definitely Teeth of the Dog. I just LOVE these ocean views and this golf course moved away Ocean Club and Viviera from my top 3 golf courses. I have played all 3 golf courses with one ball – which id very rare :-) and I am really proud of it.

Zoetry Aqua Punta Cana
is a boutique sanctuary oasis, located on the beach of Uvero Alto and with a coral reef just offshore. Luxury suites embodies the local heritage, respects the environment and encourages cultural immersion to inspire your well-being.
Upon arrival, you’re immediately enveloped by its natural beauty and abundant flora. Hard woods, palapa (cane-thatched) roofs, cathedral ceilings and natural stone touches showcase the resort’s eco-friendly architecture.
This all-inclusive Punta Cana honeymoon favorite has been a AAA Four Diamond award winner since 2012.

Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana

There’s a lot to love about the Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. This was the first resort Hyatt built from the ground up, opening in November 2019. And it shows. Between the incredible service, beautiful facilities, and the incredible location, it is easily the best all-inclusive resort I have ever been to. If all-inclusive resorts are your thing (and even if they’re not), I can’t recommend the property enough.
